Now, normally, I don’t post a lot of songs with expletives right up there in the title (this is, ostensibly, a family blog), but this is way too good not to post. It’s summery and Motown-y without being in any way saccharine, and sprinkles in just enough melancholy (“And although there’s pain in my chest / I still wish you the best”) to make the “fuck you” sound like it’s a catharsis delivered with a smile. This will go on a lot of cool kids’ end-of-summer-romance mixes, and, if the FCC didn’t exist, would destroy on radio.
